Lo Romero is one of the newer courses on this stretch, opened in 2008 on what was once a pear and apple farm. Water comes into play on thirteen of its holes and 56 bunkers keep the strategy honest across a 6,256-metre, par-72 round.
The signature closing hole, the par-4 18th, plays to a green all but surrounded by water. Because of planning delays the course had nearly two years to mature before its first round, so it played established from the day it opened.
