Mil Palmeras is a calmer, more low-key beach a short way south, known for shallow water and a relaxed, family feel.
It tends to be quieter than the larger beaches nearer the resorts, which makes it a nice option when you want soft sand without the bustle.
A small run of cafés and restaurants behind the sand covers a cold drink or an unhurried lunch, and most of our stays are a short drive away.
