Real Campoamor earned its royal title when HRH Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona, inaugurated it in 1988. An annual tournament in his name is still played each August. The par-72 course runs 6,277 metres between two connected valleys, sheltered by low hillocks that give it a gentle year-round microclimate.
The clubhouse sits about 130 metres above sea level, its wide windows looking out over both the course and the Mediterranean.
